2. What Information We Collect

We collect the information you give us when you sign up and use the service:

We use your information to:

• Provide the KinPulse service (check-ins, family dashboard, alerts)
• Send you notifications about your connected senior's wellness patterns
• Send important account updates or service changes
• Improve and fix the service
• Respond to your support requests

We do not use your wellness data for advertising, sell it to third parties, or share it with anyone outside your family connection.

4. Who Can See Your Data

Wellness check-in data (mood, sleep, appetite, activity) is only visible to:

• You — you always see your own data
• Family members you invite — or who invite you — through the family connection feature
• KinPulse staff — only when needed to provide support or fix a technical issue

We never share your data with employers, insurance companies, healthcare systems, or advertisers.

5. How We Store and Protect Your Data

Your data is stored securely on servers in the United States (Neon PostgreSQL). We use industry-standard security measures including:

• Encrypted connections (HTTPS) for all data transfers
• Encrypted database storage
• Password protection and session management
• Regular security reviews

No system is 100% secure, but we work hard to protect your information.

6. How Long We Keep Your Data

We keep your data as long as your account is active. If you delete your account:

• Your account and personal information are deleted within 30 days
• Check-in history and wellness data are deleted within 30 days
• We may keep anonymized, non-identifiable statistics for service improvement

7. Cookies

KinPulse uses cookies to keep you logged in between visits. We use:

• Session cookies — required for the service to work (log in, stay logged in)
• Preference storage — we save your consent choice in your browser so we don't ask again

We do not use advertising cookies or tracking cookies from third parties.

8. Your Rights

You have the right to:

• See your data — request a copy of everything we hold about you
• Correct your data — ask us to fix any incorrect information
• Delete your data — ask us to delete your account and all your data
• Remove a family connection — disconnect a family member from viewing your data

To exercise any of these rights, email us at support@kinpulse.com. We will respond within 30 days.

9. Children's Privacy

KinPulse is designed for adults aged 18 and over. We do not knowingly collect information from children under 18. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, please contact us and we will delete it promptly.

10. Changes to This Policy

We may update this privacy policy from time to time. We will notify you of significant changes by email. The "Last updated" date at the top of this page shows when it was last revised.
